Our Mission

The Hope of Africa

The core mission for “The Hope of Africa” is to empower people, specifically women and young children by developing basic skills that are beneficial for a sustainable future.

The mission will endeavour to teach needle work, craft making, seed planting, first aid,
family counselling, trauma counselling, business practice and other basic skills in order to initially supply the primary needs of the family unit.

Thereafter the mission will endeavour to empower the family to sustain a quality life by making quality products for sale to the public.

The mission will endeavour to empower families to manage their resources and finances in order to develop their business, therefore improving the way of life for their children and the community.

The mission firmly believes that education is powerful and impactful. We aim to develop faith and confidence by encouraging communities to recognise opportunities that will generate income.

The mission will encourage the communities through the word of God to strengthen the bonds of the family unit by overcoming adversity. We aim to encourage families to work closely together toward common goals for a prosperous future.

The intent is to reach the fathers and to bring them into accountability. To meet their responsibilities as husbands and providers, therefore empowering the man in his position of respect as head of the home. We aim to strengthen the family unit by counselling the youth and by integrating them into youth based projects that will develop their self-esteem and confidence.

We remain mindful of Psalm 127 “Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labour in vain.”

We will endeavour to work with the clinics to address basic healthcare, first aid and
counselling. We will accomplish this by introducing basic training modules that will develop an awareness of hazards and risks and will encourage better living conditions and a safer environment for the community.

The mission’s long term goal is to dig wells and develop running water with irrigation
systems for subsistent framing.

The mission will train the local communities to continue the vision so that the work and education is impactful and lasting. This will be initiated by providing on going courses and training workshops to encouraging best practice.

The mission is committed to sustainable development and will be accountable where funds are raised for this particular work.
