This was our first meeting with the ladies of ps ruth’s church.  This church is situated close to blantyre and these ladies would be the first to start teaching other groups of ladies.

The ladies and children were all sitting outside some under a tree others in the shade of a building waiting patiently to hear what we had to say.

Our vision was well received and the ladies were inspired by the presentation and are hopeful for the future ahead under the guidance of “the hope of africa”

Leaders were chosen and groups formed. The idea of the ladies groups are for them to get together for praise and worship and to start learning how to sew, knit, crochet and embroider to start small businesses and earn some money to enable them to have a better life.

Chilimba Village

Warm welcome we have received, with smiles that communicated that we appreciate your presence. They are wonderful people, patient and eager to learn. Our first appointment with them was cancelled without enough notice. The next day we went, we were few hours but they were waiting patiently for us. The project was warmly welcomed and the enthusiasm to kick off was discernible.
